We are a family run business situated between Adelaide Hills and Murraylands.
Our stock troughs are made here in Callington from locally sourced materials. We make long lasting products to keep your animals fed and watered throughout their growing years.
All troughs are reinforced with Australian steel throughout the concrete for durability. Quality bungs, floats and inlet valves are used in all products to ensure longevity. “The poly covers will protect the float valve from damage from livestock.

John Harkness
Owner
John began making stock troughs at Tintinara in early 2000’s where he was in charge of operations and distributing the troughs throughout South Eastern Australia.
As the Managing Director of JG Harkness Excavations in the Earthmoving / Civil Construction industry for the past 10 years, we have branched back into stock trough manufacturing.
Carmen Harkness
Administration
Carmen has been working as Office Manager for JG Harkness Excavations for the last 10 years.
Carmen oversees all administration functions and tasks in her role as Office Manager of South Aussie Stock Troughs.
